Good Night, Telephone Egg
Good Night, Telephone Egg
This year’s RBB 2026 Painted Eggs are here!
Each one is hand painted with intricate detail on wooden eggs to collect as Easter keepsakes to treasure for years to come.
When I was young, my mom would cover the dining room table in newspapers, line up the bowls of dye, dump out the crayons, and have the hard boiled eggs ready to decorate. My family and I did this every year when I was young and even as an adult- no matter how far away I lived, I loved coming home in the spring to decorate Easter eggs.
This is the fifth spring without my mom here with us, and the third Easter with my daughter. This year, I was inspired by the little details in her world that seem to be the most fascinating- and ones that were a comfort to me when I was little, too. One of Penny’s favorite books is “Good Night, Moon”, and I know she’s not alone in loving this book. Families everywhere have been reading and listening to this book for decades, and I wanted to celebrate that tradition by painting the details from this familiar story and those iconic pages on this years eggs, in honor of my little girl and in memory of my mom who read this book to me.
I will be so excited when she’s old enough to decorate Easter eggs, but until then, I’m so excited to continue sharing these annual painted wooden eggs with all of you.
