Somewhere along the way, checking the mail stopped being exciting. Bills, ads, flyers… nothing to look forward to. But when I was little, the mailbox was magic. I had penpals around the world, and every day I’d check the mail, hope something special was waiting just for me.

As I got older and moved away from home, my mom became my penpal- sending glitter-filled envelopes, clipped comics, colorful notes, and tiny pieces of joy from her desk to my mailbox. She believed everyone deserved “something more to open.”

This past year, painting weekly Dopamine Deck cards and connecting with people across the globe brought that feeling back. And with a daughter named Penelope- nicknamed “Penn”- it felt like the universe nudged me: It’s time to write letters again. And so?
